Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Steve Oliver, President.
Minutes of previous meeting:
The minutes were posted on the website. They were approved as presented.
Treasurer's Report:
Helen Alvey gave the report. Helen will draw up a new roster membership sheet now that all the dues are in. Any members with late dues will not appear on this roster.
Library Report:
There is no new report. Steve Oliver asked the members to check the website for the listings of items in our library.
Helen Gibson showed the group (at Saturday's 6-11-11 seminar), a new study stick of faces. Sister Anthony will place an order for one for our Library.
Dan Aldredge told the group that he is able to obtain pecan wood. Let Dan know if you want some.
Show Committee:
The Show committee is meeting this Saturday, June 18 at Seton Residence. This committee meets at Seton the third Saturday of each month unless otherwise notified.

New Business:
Steve Oliver asked the membership if they would like to have a family picnic. We can use one of the Shelters at the 4 H Center for $200. The Club would supply the chicken and each family can supply other food and drinks. Several dates were given—Sunday, July 17 or August 21. The date chosen was Sunday,August 21, 2011.
Seminars:
Steve Oliver would like to do a Portrait seminar in either September or October. Sister Anthony will check for available dates.
We are also looking into doing a two day seminar on ornaments where we would carve the ornament on day one and paint it on day two. Steve Oliver would lead the carving day and Steve Eli would lead the painting day. Date to be decided.
Charles Scherer did a short seminar on the use of cedar wood. Steve Oliver challenged him to do another seminar. Date to be decided.
CARVER OF THE MONTH:
Steve is asking for members to volunteer for the Carver of the month. Pictures of the carver and a short bio will be posted on our website.HANDSHAKE WINNER:
