Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 7:32 p.m. by Mary Purtzer, Vice-President. Mary thanked Donna Waggener for the seminar given this evening.
Minutes of previous meeting:
Sister Anthony gave the secretary’s report which was moved by Jim Crow, seconded by Neil Ward and accepted as sent.
Treasurer's Report:
Helen Alvey gave the treasurer’s report. There were no pertinent questions. Acceptance of the report was moved by Bob Johnson and seconded by Jim Crowe. The report was accepted as given.
Show Committee:
Joel Slayton reported that there will be a Show Committee meeting on Saturday May 22 at Seton Residence. The meeting will be held on the lower level and will start at 9:30 a.m.
Old Business:
Mary reported that we will have a carving seminar the weekend of December 11 and 12 at Seton Residence. It will be given by Steve Brown and the theme will be Christmas. The cost of the seminar is $60 plus the cost of the rough out.
The seminar on wood burning by Peg Cawthorn was cancelled due to a lack of attendees.
New Business:
Rick Durgy donated a tree for the Show. We also have a tree donated by Jim Crowe. We need lights for these trees.
Kerry Austin said that there will be a Audubon Blue Grass and Craft Show at Audubon Park on Saturday, May 14. We will have a table there but we must be set up by 8:30 a.m. If anyone is interested in participating at the Show please contact Kerry Austin.
At our next meeting Kerry Austin will do a bark carving seminar.
