Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Neil Ward, President.
Neil introduced visitors- Gary Sickman of Buckskin, Indiana and David and Wayne Wood. This is the second time that the Woods have been present. They will officially join the Club in November.
Minutes of previous meeting:
The secretary's report was accepted as given. Sister Anthony then explained to the members that all members not on the Show Committee are expected to give some time at the door on the show day selling tickets.A form was passed around and members were asked to sign at the time best for them. This form will again be passed out at the next meeting. If there are empty places, Sister will assign these to members who have not signed up.
Treasurer's Report:
Helen Alvey gave the Treasurer's report which was accepted as presented.
Library Committee:
There was no formal Library report except that Kerry would like the members to tell him what kinds of wood they would like him to keep in the Library.
Show Committee:
Joel Slaton told the group that it was up to them to sell tickets for the Show. We still are in need of ornaments for the tree and carvings for "Carving for Charity". Ken Alvey will be a celebrity carver this year.
The Show Judge will be Gary Freeman. He will present an evening seminar on Monday, November 29 at Seton Residence. The fee will be $25 and the subject will be carving golf balls. It will begin at 5 p.m.
The banquet will be held after the show at the Amory. Cost is $15 per person. Marc's Barbecue will do the catering. Meat served will be beef and chicken
If possible members are asked to bring their carvings for the tree and "Carving for Charity" to the November meeting.
The next Show Committee meeting will be on Saturday, October 30 at 9:30 a.m.

New Business:
Kerry Austin has a scroll saw for sale at $45. See Kerry if interested.. Steve Oliver has a small three piece Nativity set for carving. If interested see Steve.
ANNUAL MEETING: The November meeting is our Annual meeting. Voting for officers of the club will be held at this time. Neil has appointed Steve Oliver and Jack Winkelman as the nominating committee. Helen Alvey has agreed to keep the Treasurer's job and Sister Anthony will continue as Secretary
Seminars:
We are looking at dates after January 1 for a carving seminar with caricature carver Garry Falin. More about this once the date is set.
SHOW AND TELL:Show and tell took place. Doug Lafferty showed the group a sharpener and will be glad to discuss it with anyone interested.
Half Pot:
The half pot was won by was won by Linda Allen who donated it to the Show. Steve Eli won the Drake detail knife in show ticket drawing.
