MINUTES OF TRI-STATE WOODCARVERS' CLUB

February 8, 2022 4 H Center

Call to Order:

Meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by President Jack Winkleman. We welcomed visitor Debbie Riney.

Minutes of previous meeting:

Motion to approve the minutes for January meeting was made by Kathy Vonderahe and seconded by Frank Wildeman. Motion carried. Minutes approved.

Treasurer's Report:

No Treasurer's report was available tonight.

Library Committee:

Library is open. Christmas Ornament cutouts are avialable. Can check out any item in the library for three months. If not checked back in a quarter is charged each month after that.

Show Committee:

No Show Committee report.

Old Business:

1. Audit Committee
2. Finance (Budget) Committee. 2 plus Treasurer.
3. Web site. Cost has gone up. What is it used for? How many club members actually use it? Is it needed? Does anyone have experience with looking for web hosting? Volunteers to look for options?

New Business:

1. Sister Anthony's items.- Does anyone use or know anyone that uses a ceramics kiln? There are thermo cones that need to find a home. - Do you need an apron or know a young person that does. There are carving magazines that are no longer in print. Everything must go.

2. There are new Christmas Ornament cutouts available to carve for the 2022 Show door prize.

3. The April meeting will include an auction of Don Deutsch's carving tools and miscellaneous items. A list of sales items will be included in the March Newsletter.

Seminars:

Upcoming mini seminars include: Tonight-Frank- Pine Cone or Christmas Tree with a face. March- Kathy, SaraBarraclough's Snowman, April- Auction, May- Marvin. We also talked about going and doing a seminar at Patchwork Kids.

Show and Tell:

Frank Wildeman showed his two santas, tree, ornament, and snowman.

Kathy Vonderahe showed her Valentine hearts candy, sants, and chip carving ornaments.

Marvin Daniels showed his santa and cottonwood bark carving's.

Bill Kelly showed his bald eagle and other bird; and his model T car and pickup.

Half Pot:

Half-Pot was won and given to Kathy Vonderahe.

Adjournment:

Shannon Ulewicz made a motion to adjourn and was sconeded by Roy Kline. The motion carried.

The next meeting is Tuesday, March 8, 2022
