Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Jeff Hancock, President.

Minutes of previous meeting:

Motion: To approve the minutes for June 14, 2016, meeting as posted on the Club's web site. Motion carried.

Treasurer's Report:

Don Deutsch gave the treasurer's report: Motion: To accept as presented. Motion carried.

Library Committee:

Show Committee:

Next Show Committee will be in the St. Vincent Conference Center at Seton Hall, at 9:00 a.m.

The President read the following: The "Wonders in Wood" show is the major fund raising effort for our club, members are encouraged to take part in the production for the show. Should a member not wish to display or sell their art work they still may contribute their time to help with the various activities during the show.

Funds raised at the show help the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center with the featured "Carvings for Charity" portion of the show. Tri-State Woodcarvers Club members donate an assortment of hand carved items for "Carvings for Charity", 100% of the money raised is donated to Easter Seals Southwestern Indiana.

Before the Show:
Sell Pre-show Tickets
Hand out fliers for the show
Display yard signs
Carve or make a wood item for "Carvings for Charity"
Sell ads for the Show Program
Enter a carving in the competition
Have a table at the show

At the show:
Sell tickets at the door
Sell tickets for "Carvings for Charity"

Old Business:

Per lease with 4-H Center we will meet in the large room at the front of this building, for August.

Seminars for 2016: Steve Brown has 9 signed up with 3 spots available; Pat Moore 10 signed up need 2 more.

Thursday Night Carving at AM-Vets July 21, August 18, September 15, 2016.

Heritage Festival in Petersburg, IN on Friday July 15 and Saturday July 16.

New Business:

Name Tag contest $25.00 prize for best tag. Must be made of wood: carved or woodburned.

August 9, 3D Pattern with Richard Hitch
September 13, open
October 11, open
November 8, Round-table

Half Pot:

The half pot was won by Richard Hitch.

Adjournment:

There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
