MINUTES OF TRI-STATE WOODCARVERS' CLUB

July 14, 2026 4 H Center

Call to Order:

Meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by President Jeff Hancock. We welcomed new member John Wilkerson.

Minutes of previous meeting:

Motion to approve the June minutes was made by Steve Eli and seconded by Jack Winkleman. Motion carried. Minutes approved.

Treasurer's Report:

Treasurer Doug Egerton gave his report. Motion was made by Jan Weiss and seconded by Steve Eli to approve the treasurer's report. Motion carried. treasurer's report carried.

Library Committee:

Library is open. Nothing new to report. Paul Rolfe is Jon Gunnels.

Show Committee:

We're working on it. Show Committee will meet next month. The show is October 24 and 25, 2026. we have show flyers and show reservation table up on the table

Old Business:

Angel carve for Chemo Buddies Frank has upped the ante, if you turn in five angel's you will get your name into a drawing for a knife of your choice. There are 50 new patients a month that are fighting cancer. We have 10 tickets with members name on it. 49 angels turned in tonight.

Midwest Outdoor Show Thank you to Robin for being there the whole time.

Sales table.

Robin has club patches.

September mini seminar is still open.

New Business:

Janet Wargar a Bob Koch feather.

Jim Hart has contacted Jeff. Jeff and Doug think we need to stay in the wood business.

Steve Eli brought in Black Locust insulators for free.

Frank Wildeman is carving on the club door prize Santa this month.

Show and Tell:

Steve Eli showed his gnomes, santas and snowman.

Kathy Vonderahe showed her santas and cardinals.

Jack Winkleman showed his cardinals and bluebirds.

Marvin Daniels showed his broomsticks with a spider and witch faces on them.

Half Pot:

Half-Pot was won and given to Jeff Hancock who returned it to the club.

Adjournment:

Steve Eli made a motion to adjourn and it was seconded by Kathy Vonderahe. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned.

The next meeting is Tuesday, August 11, 2026.
