MINUTES OF TRI-STATE WOODCARVERS' CLUB

Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 6:13 pm. by Jeff Hancock, President. The President introduced the following visitor: Mr. Luke Stephens.

Minutes of previous meeting:

Motion: To approve the minutes for May 10, 2016, meeting as posted on the Club's web site. Motion carried.

Treasurer's Report:

Don Deutsch gave the treasurer's report: Motion: To accept as presented. Motion carried.

Library Committee:

Library is open. Kathy Vonderahe asked for prayers for her son Keith Vonderahe. Keith is in the Cleveland Clinic heart transplant program.

Show Committee:

No report: committee did not meet. Date for 2017 club show is being pursued with the Armory: Capt. Nunn. President stated that attendance at the 2016 show needs to increase by 25 percent.

Old Business:

Per lease with 4-H Center we will meet in the large room at the front of this building, for July and August.

Seminars for 2016: Steve Brown has 9 signed up with 3 spots available; Bob Beirmann 12 signed up, waiting list; Pat Moore 10 signed up need 2 more.

Motion: Open Carving at AM Vets Post 84, 2912 Broadway Ave. Evansville 3rd Thursday, 6;00pm. Motion carried. There is a $50.00 fee for use of the facility: 10 carvers at $5.00 each to cover the cost of the room. Open Carving: Thursday, July 21, 2016, at 6:pm.

Insurance has been paid.

Half Pot:

The half pot was won by Don Deutsch.

There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.

The next meeting is Tuesday, JULY 12, 2016.

Our meeting was followed by a seminar led by Marvin Daniels: several members joined him in carving a Santa Ornament.
