MINUTES OF TRI-STATE WOODCARVERS' CLUB

June 14, 2022 4 H Center

Call to Order:

Meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by Vice President Mark Meyer.

Minutes of previous meeting:

Motion to approve the minutes for May meeting was made by Jeff Hancock and seconded by Frank Wildeman. Motion carried. Minutes approved.

Treasurer's Report:

Vice President Mark Meyer gave the Treasure's Report for May. Motion was made by Jeff Hancock and seconded by Kathy Vonderahe. Motion carried. Treasurer's report approved.

Library Committee:

Library is open. Christmas ornament cutouts are available.

Show Committee:

Save the date. The show dates are set for October 22 and 23, 2022. Belcher Carving Supply has confirmed to be at the show.

Old Business:

1) Thank you to all that came out to the Master gardners Art in the Garden event to promote carving and our club.

2) Reminder- There are new Christmas Ornament cutouts available to carve for the 2022 Show door prizes. Please take some to carve.

New Business:

Kathy Vonderahe told the club members that Shirley Wilkes from Vincennes has passed away.

Seminars:

Upcoming mini seminars include: June- Frank- pine cone or Happy tree; July- Jack- The real Hair Ball; August- Jeff- Jeff's Folly's

Show and Tell:

Kathy Vonderahe showed her santa and pine cone.

Jan Weiss showed her santa and sea captain.

Dan Aldredge showed his spoons, wood spirits, and sand castle.

Half Pot:

Half-pot was won and given to Mark Meyer.

Adjournment:

Jeff Hancock made a motion to adjourn and it was seconded by Ben Meyer. Motion carried.

The next meeting is Tuesday, July 12, 2022
