MINUTES OF TRI-STATE WOODCARVERS CLUB

Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 6:07 p.m. by Jeff Hancock, President.

Approval of minutes:

Motion: To approve the minutes for March 8, 2016, meeting as posted on the Club's web site. Motion carried.

Treasurer's Report:

Don Deutsch gave the treasurer's report: Motion: To accept as presented. Motion carried.

Library Report:

Library is open

Show Committee:

Show Committee met Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Seton Hall. Alan Bailey will take over the placement of Show Banners from Kerry Austin. Date for 2017 club show is being pursued with the Armory: Capt. Nunn. President stated that attendance at the 2016 show needs to increase by 25 percent.

Old Business:

AM Vets Committee Report: Issues with parking and lighting. Motion: To move our meetings to AM Vet building by Steve Eli, second by Sheri Meier. Motion failed.

Per lease with 4-H Center we will meet in the large room at the front of this building, for June, July and August.

Seminars for 2016: Steve Brown has 10 signed up with 2 spots available; Bob Beirmann 12 signed up, waiting list; Marty Leenhouts 2 signed up, class canceled; Peg Cawthorn 5 signed up class canceled; Pat Moore 7 signed up need 5 more.

Club insurance police is due this month.

Our meeting was followed by a seminar led by Jack Winkleman: several members joined him in carving a Humming Bird.
