MINUTES OF TRI-STATE WOODCARVERS' CLUB

May 11, 2021 4 H Center

Call to Order:

Meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by President Jack Winkleman. We welcomed guests Danny Conley and Brian Herring.

Minutes of previous meeting:

Motion to approve the minutes of March meeting was made by Jeff Hancock and seconded by Mark Weil. Motion carried. Minutes approved.

Treasurer's Report:

Treasurer Jon Gunnels gave his report. Motion was made by Jeff Hancock and and seconded by Brian Herring. Motion carried. Treasurer's report approved.

Library Committee:

Ben is not here. President Jack Winkleman explained that we can check out books and go-byes for three month's; then check it back in. If we don't have it back in by then we pay twenty five cents each month after that.

Show Committee:

Jeff Hancock has the show set for October 23 and 24 in the Banquet Hall at the 4-H Center. Tables are twenty dollars each. Flyers are printed out.

Old Business:

Tool auction for Conrad Wetzel is next month. For us and guest's. We will start setting up at three thirty.

Insurance has been paid.

Dues contact Treasurer Jon Gunnels.

New Business:

Mini seminars June will be the tool auction, July Ron Tucker .

Master Gardner's event waiting on date and wether it is going to happen.

Elvin Reed brought in chip chat and other books for the auction. President Jack Winkleman decided that since books don't sell at aution's; the chip chat's would be free and the other we pay what we think it is worth. Plaese pay Treasurer Jon Gunnels.

Seminars:

Seminar by Rich Weatherbe.

Show and Tell:

Brian Herring show his carvings of jewlery box, plaque and others.

Keith Hemmerway showed his owls.

Kathy Vonderahe showed her egg that she carved.

Jack Winkleman showed his Christmas ornaments of santas and a duck with a santa hat on.

Half Pot:

Half pot was won by Jack Winkleman and he donated it back to the club.

Adjournment:

Jeff Hancock made the motion to adjourn and seconded by Keith Hemmerway.

The next meeting is Tuesday, June 8, 2021
