Old Business:
A reminder that there is a sales/trade table available at meetings for members to be able to sell, trade, or give away tools, books, etc., that you are no longer using. This evening Jack had brought some tomato plants and also some Walking Stick Kale plants (which can be grown and used as walking sticks) for members to take as needed.

Jack said that the club had been invited to the Master Gardener's Art on the Garden on Sunday, June 8 from noon to 4. The club will pass on participating due to lack of interest. Erv had some sassafras wood available to any who wanted it.
Steve Eli addressed the club regarding the Sister Josita Fund that was established from the funds from an auction of her carving supplies after her death in 2008. The fund was intended as a help with funding half of the cost of a guest seminar to someone who needed help with the funding. The scholarship could be awarded anonymously. No one has applied for it in years. Steve made the following motions regarding the fund.
Motion 1 - As there is a mini seminar offered at each club meeting and the instructor is paid a fee of $25, Steve made the motion that fee be paid from the Sister Josita Fund as this is considered a seminar offered to all members. The motion was seconded by Richard Hitch. The motion passed.
Motion 2 - As a further incentive for club members to attend any seminars presented by guest instructors locally, Steve made the motion that any club member wishing to attend a seminar will have half of their seminar fee paid from the Sister Josita Fund. The member would be responsible for the other half of the fee plus any roughouts. Doug Edgerton seconded the motion. The motion passed.
Seminars:
Tonight's club seminar was from a Doug Linker 1x1 series presented by Doug. Next month's seminar will be led by Jan, with Richard leading in July, and Marvin in August.
Show and Tell:
Multiple members showed their carvings including some that had been finished from Frank Wilderman's seminar last month.
Half Pot:
The half pot was won by Jack Armstrong.
Adjournment:
Jeff Hancock made the motion to adjourn and Steve Eli seconded it.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
Respectfully submitted:
Kathy Vonderahe, acting secretary
