MINUTES OF TRI-STATE WOODCARVERS' CLUB

November 9, 2021 4 H Center

Call to Order:

Meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by President Jack Winkleman. We welcomed guests Jan Weiss and Barbara Hobbs-Titzer.

Minutes of previous meeting:

Motion to approve the minutes for October meeting was made by Jeff Hancock and seconded by Ben Meyer. Motion carried. Minutes approved.

Treasurer's Report:

Treasurer Jon Gunnels gave his report. Motion was made by Jeff Hancock and seconded by Bill Kelly. Motion carried. Treasurer's report approved.

Library Committee:

Library is open. Christmas ornament cutouts are available. We have a book in the library that was donated during the show.

Show Committee:

Thank you to everyone that showed, sold, setup and took down after the show. Jeff Hancock is going to get the same weekend next year. The show will be October 22 and 23, 2022. Congratulations again to Bill Kelly for the best table, for selling the most half-pot tickets, and for selling the winning ticket.

New Business:

Club Officer Election: The nominating committee- Mark Meyer, please introduce your nominating committee and slate of officer nominees. Jack Winkleman for President; Mark Meyer for Vice President; Robin Meyer for Secretary; and Jon Gunnels for Treasurer. Motion was made by Jeff Hancock to accept the nominees and seconded by Kathy Vonderahe. Motion approved.

Seminars:

Upcoming mini seminars include: Tonight- Robin will be offering a mini seminar on woodburned ornaments.

Show and Tell:

Kathy Vonderahe showed her fanbird carving necklace and spool candleholder. Marvin Daniels showed his gnomes, santas, and cowboy.

Half Pot:

Half pot was given to Shannon Ulewicz.

Adjournment:

Jeff Hancock made a motion to adjourn and was seconded by Steve Eli. The motion carried.
