MINUTES OF TRI-STATE WOODCARVERS' CLUB

October 13, 2020 4 H Center

Call to Order:

Meeting was called to order at 6:02 P.M. by Jack Winkleman. We welcomed guest Mike Karch to our meeting tonight.

Minutes of previous meeting:

Motion to approve the minutes of September meeting was made by Ben Meyer and seconded by Mark Meyer. Motion carried, minutes approved.

Treasurer's Report:

Treasurer Alan Bailey gave his report. Motion was made by Gene Sutton and seconded by Keith Hemenway. Motion carried, treasurer's report approved.

Library Committee:

Nothing new to report in the library. Jack Winkleman also told us that we could go on the library website page and look for other items (videos, study casts, and books).

Show Committee:

Old Business:

Show Committee: Jeff Hancock talked about a show next October 23, 2021. Jeff reserved the Banquet Hall at the 4H fairgrounds. Jeff will be seeing if can get the room for two days or only the one day. We talked about having food trucks outside for food that day.

Vintage cars and campers out at the fairgrounds this weekend. The whole fairgrounds will be with cars and campers.

New Business:

Nominating Committee: Election of Officers next month. President nominee is Jack Winkleman. Vice President nominee is Mark Meyer, Treasurer nominee is Jon Gunnels. Secretary nominee is Robin Meyer.

Thursday 1 to 2 a P-47 will be flying into Evasville airport to go to the Wartime Museum.

No meeting in December. No Christmas Party in December. No ornament exchange.

Kathy Vonderahe will be doing the mini seminar next month.

Show and Tell:

Jeff Hancock showed his santa, Kathy Vonderahe showed her santa's, and Mark Meyer showed his witch.

Half Pot:

The half pot was won by Roy Kline.

Adjournment:

Motion was made by Jeff Hancock to adjourn and seconded by Ben Meyer. Motion carried, meeting was adjourned.

The next meeting is Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at 6:00 P.M.

Mike Karch became a member after the meeting was adjourned.
